Krun.ch

Friends, I would like to present to you my latest project, Krun.ch

Krun.ch is a simple tool that simplifies the process of compressing and sending your files online. Krun.ch isn't a replacement for the traditional desktop compression tools, but its just a tool that makes things easier by cutting down all the 'krunching' hassles!

Pingoat !

May 19, 2006, 10:44 am
Pingoat has always been loved (and hated by spammers). Recently, Pingoat's been getting overwhelming response from users and its user base has been increasing exponentially. Not only that Pingoat's become one of the best blogging tools, it has also mercilessly defeated its rivals! Yes, Victory!

Pingoat's being undergoing some major technical changes lately and a yesterday, a bug in the system mass blacklisted tens of thousands of legit bloggers. Even though I no longer administer Pingoat, my mailbox was flooded with user comments. Later, I was informed that the issue has been fixed and some new features have been implemented.

Pingoat goes user friendly:

Thanks to one man, Pingoat's new shepherd, the skilled and talented Vladimir! Great job Vladimir!

NatGeo Newtonian reflector telescope

April 10, 2006, 4:20 pm
I've been stressing out for quite some time now. A lot of work, including heavy school work; a lot of tension. Anyway, the school has closed for a week (Easter holidays).

Today, me and my friend got the National Geographic Newtonian reflector telescope :)

Its an "extra-terrestrial" telescope which's got like 525x maginification. It was quite a task assembling the whole thing and giving it shape. Hopefully we will spot some alien crafts, galaxies.. The manual says that Orion is easy to spot!

Pingoat.com acquired

March 4, 2006, 1:29 pm
Pingoat.com, one of my most successfull misc work, has been acquired. In a short span of seven months, Pingoat grew phenomenally and because one of the most popular blogger tools on the internet. Pingoat made me a lot of new friends and vast contacts; Pingoat eventually became my dear pet :)

Anyway, hopefully Pingoat will grow even further and flourish under the new management. Good luck abd Bye bye Pingoat.

PS: Splogspot.com also got acquired along with Pingoat

Mashups, quickies and Web 2.0

February 19, 2006, 3:57 pm
This is Web 2.0, as they say :) We see atleast dozen '2.0' apps spring up everyday; majority of these are some kind of api mashups or ones that juggle with existing sites and services. (needless to say, Pingoat is a perfect example). Such utilities are good for the eye and even useful at times, but they seldom survive in the long run. Take another example, newzpile.com I built. Its basically a news aggregator feeding on news feeds from hundreds and hundreds of sources. Its not at all independant, its lifespan is lesser than or equal to that of the news sources. Same with Pingoat.com, it'll live only until the targets it pings are open.

So this is what has been happening on the web lately. And there is no limit to the number of google (maps) and yahoo (maps,flickr..) mashups popping up everyday. Even I've got involved in this trend, I must admit. Personally, I dont find this pleaseing at all, weird enough, I find it really annoying. 'Unique' and 'Innovative' gets my vote. Pingoat and Splogspot will be bidding bye soon (details later), so now its time I rolled out something even better, and trust me, I am already on it! :D

Javaaaaah !

February 17, 2006, 3:01 am
Whew, university life is quite interesting. Such silly stuff I've to study! Busting a few tech jargons has made me a 'star' in the class, funny. Going technical; What I've to learn through the course is JAVA. Thats my only relief, learning some real programming for the first time in my life! I should admit, Java is pretty interesting. Hopefully I'll start rolling Java apps soon.

And the mysterious Russian girl in my class, she never talks to anyone. I've never seen her utter a word. Maybe I should help her socialize :D

So long.. !
